Welcome to the SIAST Nursing Division website. I am delighted with your interest in nursing education and would be very pleased to have you as our student. I invite you to come and experience a quality education in a supportive environment.

This is an exciting time to consider a career in nursing. Our exceptional nursing education programs will prepare you with the knowledge, practice competencies, and critical thinking skills you need to launch a rewarding career in nursing.

We offer 16 innovative and award-winning programs to more than 5,000 students. We take great pride in providing our students with education that is accessible, relevant and responsive. Our programs are offered throughout the province, on-campus, in the community, online, through videoconferencing, and by print distance.

Nursing is a dynamic and rewarding profession that offers a variety of career options. Our graduates develop successful careers as a registered nurses, RN nurse practitioners, registered psychiatric nurses and licensed practical nurse, and specialize in critical care and perioperative nursing. We also offer programs in occupational health and safety and diabetes education.

We are continuously expanding the capacity of our programs to increase access to education. We also develop new programs to meet the growing and changing needs of the health care system. In addition to nursing education, we offer programs related to diabetes and occupational health and safety education.

Our team of expert faculty is highly qualified with extensive academic and nursing practice experience. Our faculty are focused on assisting students in achieving success. Their student-centred approach supports accommodation for diverse learning styles of students. The students' relationship with our faculty is based on mutual respect, integrity, innovation, accountability and service.
