Career-ready from Day 1. Natural resources careers demand a unique range of knowledge and skills. Our task-oriented curriculum and practical training (including eight to 12 weeks of field skill development) means Natural Resources grads are well prepared to protect and manage our forests, fish and aquatic habitat, parkland and wildlife.
Location, location, location. Natural Resources programs are offered at SIAST Woodland Campus in Prince Albert, on the doorstep of Saskatchewan’s vast northern boreal forests. This gives students access to a superb outdoor classroom . . . and on-the-ground experience in natural resources career environments.
Nationally recognized skills training. SIAST is a nationally recognized provider of skills training and technical education. Because our programs are designed with input from industry, our curriculum matches natural resources careers in the workplace. That gives you an edge in the job market.
Zero to career in two years or less. With programs ranging from a one-year certificate to two-year diplomas, SIAST can prepare you for a natural resources career in two years or less. As you near graduation, access Student Employment Services for career fairs, on-campus employer visits, program-specific job market opportunities, job search tools and more.
